After high temperature and pressure
reaction in the presence of oxidizing agent, the different forms and valence
states of iron in the sample to be tested are converted into iron ions, which
react with the color developing agent to form a stable complex. The complex has
maximum absorption at a specific wavelength, and the total iron content in the
sample to be tested is calculated by photoelectric colorimetry.
